Description

Most "automatic" ball launchers force a choice you shouldn't have to make: plug-in units chain you to a wall outlet, while battery-only units become useless once the built-in cell stops holding charge after a year. This one decouples power from portability — the included AC adapter handles all-day indoor sessions, and a 6× C-cell battery slot (alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH, sold separately) lets the same unit run at the beach, dog park, or campsite where outlets aren't.

Three launch distances (10 ft / 20 ft / 30 ft, ~3 / 6 / 9 m) work in either power mode, switched with a single button on top.

Why the foam balls matter for indoor play

Tennis balls bounce hard off floors and walls — fine outside, less fine when the launch arc clips a window or a glass cabinet. The included open-cell foam balls weigh about a third of a tennis ball, so a wild bounce stops at the wall instead of denting it, and the soft surface is easier on dogs who have lost a tooth or have sensitive gums. Tennis balls still work in this launcher if you want them outside; the foam balls are what's included because they're the indoor-safe option.

Care

Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth — don't submerge or rinse the unit, the launch motor isn't sealed. Store with batteries removed if you'll go more than a month between sessions to avoid leakage.
