Standard short dog socks roll off in minutes. The fix is the leg-warmer cut: an extended ribbed sleeve that grips above the joint, plus a velcro ankle strap so the sock stays on even when it rotates around the paw — and a tread pattern designed to keep working if it does.

Why the leg-warmer cut works
Short booties slide off because they pivot around the paw — the dog flexes and the cuff peels. Extending the cuff up the leg moves the grip point above the joint where the leg is naturally wider than the paw. The permanent velcro strap (sewn-in, no button hardware that could press into skin) wraps the ankle for a dual anchor. The silicone gel tread is rotational — even if the sock spins around the paw mid-zoomie, the grip pattern still hits the floor in any orientation.
