Plush Foam Pet Stairs for Dogs & Cats — 3 / 4 / 5 Tier

Most pet stairs you find online have one of two problems: the steps are too steep for a senior dog or a French Bulldog with short legs, or the cover slides off the foam after a few weeks of paw traffic. This staircase keeps the slope at 35° (gentle enough for arthritic joints) and uses a sewn-in ice-velvet sherpa cover with a silicone-dot base, so the steps stay put on hardwood or rugs.

It's a foam-core stair, not a hollow plastic ramp — high-resilience foam holds shape under repeated weight without sagging or denting after a few weeks.

Why three tier counts?

Sofas, beds, and bay-window seats are not the same height. Pick the tier count that matches the lowest surface your pet actually needs to reach — the staircase should sit just below the surface, not flush with it.

• 3-Tier (30 cm / 11.8 in tall): for low sofas, floor cushions, and short ottomans.
• 4-Tier (35 cm / 13.8 in tall): for standard sofas and low platform beds.
• 5-Tier (45 cm / 17.7 in tall): for tall beds, high sofas, and bay-window ledges.

Materials and build

• Surface: ice-velvet sherpa fabric, soft on paws, low pilling under repeated traffic. Yellow waffle texture (Yellow & Blue) or corduroy ribbing (Yellow & Green / Gray).
• Core: high-resilience foam, full thickness — won't sag or hollow after weeks of use.
• Side panel: matching sherpa fabric in pink-trimmed blue, green, or gray.
• Base: black silicone-dot grip, holds position on hardwood, tile, and low-pile rugs.
• Slope: 35° staircase angle, gentle enough for senior dogs and short-legged breeds.

Sizing — measure first

Measure the height of the surface your pet needs to reach (sofa cushion top, mattress top, bay-window ledge), then pick the tier count whose total height lands roughly 2–5 cm below that surface so your pet steps up rather than jumps the last bit.

• 3-Tier: 40 × 39 × 30 cm (15.7 × 15.4 × 11.8 in).
• 4-Tier: 40 × 56 × 35 cm (15.7 × 22.0 × 13.8 in).
• 5-Tier: 40 × 70 × 45 cm (15.7 × 27.6 × 17.7 in).

Tread width is 40 cm (15.7 in) on every tier — comfortable for a French Bulldog, Cavalier, Dachshund, or a cat, but tight for dogs over ~25 lb / 11 kg. Hand-measured, allow 2–3 cm variance.

When this isn't the right pet stairs

Skip this if your dog can't manage steps at all — for severe hip or back issues, a smooth-surface ramp is gentler than a tiered staircase. Care

Spot clean the cover with a damp cloth and mild soap — the foam is not removable, so don't fully soak it. Air dry away from direct sunlight (UV fades the colours). Vacuum the silicone base every few weeks to lift fur that builds up against the dots and reduces grip.
