Banana Shaped Pet Bed — Curved Cradle in Crystal Velvet

Pets that nest curl up against a wall, not in the middle of a flat bed. The banana shape is the same idea as a donut bed — high walls all around — except curved into a half-moon with one closed end (like a sleeping bag) and one slightly more open end. Yellow crystal velvet body, green stem at the top, brown blossom tip at the bottom (like a real ripe banana). One piece, no removable cover, fully machine washable as a single unit.

Why the half-moon shape works

Cats and small dogs that sleep curled want enclosure on three sides. Flat beds get ignored; donut beds work but expose both ends. The banana cradle gives full enclosure at the curve plus a closed bottom end — the pet wedges their head against the closed end and sleeps with their back against the curved wall. Same nesting instinct cats use to back into a corner.

Self-supporting walls — keeps shape when empty. Double-layer construction with reinforced stitching along the inside curve so the rim doesn't flatten under weight.

Match the bed length to the pet's curled-up length, not stretched-out length. Sizing up wastes space and the pet won't feel the wall behind them.

When this isn't the right bed

Care

Machine wash on cold, gentle cycle, mild detergent — the whole bed goes in. Air dry: lay flat or hang from the stem end, fluff by hand once mostly dry. Don't tumble dry; heat melts crystal velvet pile. Drying takes 12-24 hours.
