Why the console position works

Three padded walls give the cradle effect of a nesting bed; the open top lets them sit up to look out. A lean cat over 13.78" nose-to-tail-base hangs over the rim even under 5 kg — measure body length before ordering, not just weight.

Installation — fits single- and double-lid consoles

Single-lid armrest: straps wrap horizontally around the closed lid like a saddle. Double-lid / split-fold consoles: straps run vertically and anchor to the seat base. Velcro hook-and-loop closures grip the strap ends — no buckles to thread. Re-check tension on long drives; the velcro itself holds, but the lid can shift if a passenger opens it.

When this isn't the right product

The integrated leash is a tether, not a crash-rated harness. For highway speeds, clip your pet's Escape-Proof Harness to the seat-belt buckle as a second restraint. Pets over 5 kg / 11 lb or longer than 13.78" need a back-seat hammock or travel crate instead.
