Pastel Purple Checkered Cat Tunnel Bed — 2-in-1 Cave

Pastel rooms are unforgiving — a single off-tone bed in the corner reads louder than the entire palette. Lilac, lavender, dusty pink, and cream play together; bright primary colors don't. This one stays in the family: a soft purple-and-cream check on Sherpa, the kind of low-key pattern that disappears into a blush-and-sage living room rather than fighting it.

Construction is shared with the rest of our donut tunnel series: two zippered halves snap together with toggle closures, becoming either a closed donut cave or a 50-inch S-shaped tunnel laid out across the floor.

Two assembled forms

Donut cave: Zip the two halves into a circle, drop the cushion in. A 33.5-inch (85 cm) ring with a tunnel running through one wall and a sleeping platform in the center.

S-tunnel: Zip the halves end-to-end instead of into a circle, and the bed stretches flat into an S-shape (~50 in / 127 cm) with two open ends. Useful for two-cat households where one chases the other through enclosed spaces.

Switching takes about a minute — unzip, reposition one half, re-zip.

• Bolster fill: high-resilience PP cotton, holds shape after compression
• Center cushion: removable, machine-washable
• Bottom: dotted non-slip backing, stays put on hardwood and tile

• Tunnel opening: 8" wide × 6" tall (20 × 15 cm)
• Center cushion: 16" / 40 cm diameter
• S-tunnel form (laid flat): about 50" / 127 cm long, 10" / 25 cm tall

Best for cats up to about 13 lb / 6 kg. Persians, Ragdolls, and British Shorthairs under 6 kg fit comfortably curled inside; larger Maine Coons usually treat the tunnel as a pass-through rather than a curl-up bed.

Care

Spot clean the tunnel exterior with a damp cloth. The center cushion zips out for machine wash on gentle cycle, cold water, mild detergent — air dry to keep the Sherpa loft. Skip the tumble dryer; pastel checks can pill at high heat.
