Leopard Fleece Dog Winter Jacket with Built-in Leash Ring

Most winter dog jackets force you into a two-step routine: pull the jacket on, then layer a harness over the top so the D-ring sits where the leash can reach it — and the harness presses the fleece flat into the dog's coat. This vest has the D-ring sewn directly into the back panel, so the leash clips to the jacket itself. One layer, no harness, no flattened fleece.

Used most often as a daily winter walking layer for small and small-medium dogs (Yorkies, Pomeranians, Mini Dachshunds, Toy Poodles, Cavaliers) up to 10 kg / 22 lb who don't need a separate harness. The faux-fur collar adds neck warmth without the bulk of a full hood.

How the built-in leash ring works

The D-ring is a stainless-steel ring sewn through reinforced webbing into the back panel — not glued, not riveted to the fleece. Pulling weight transfers to the chest band of the jacket (which is wider than a typical harness strap), so a moderate leash tug spreads load across a 4-cm band rather than a single point. This is fine for casual walks and dogs who don't pull hard. For dogs that lunge, a real harness with chest support is still the better choice.

Seven sizes from XXS (teacup, ~1–2 kg / 2–4 lb) through XXL (small-medium, ~9–10 kg / 20–22 lb). The size chart image lists chest, neck, and back-length measurements per size — measure the dog's chest at the widest point and the back from collar base to tail base, then size up if the dog is between sizes (the velcro chest band closes a 2–3 cm gap, but doesn't open one). For dogs over 10 kg or barrel-chested breeds (French Bulldog, Pug), this jacket runs short.

When this isn't the right jacket

Skip this if your dog is a hard puller — the back-panel D-ring isn't a substitute for a chest-distributing harness, and consistent pulling will eventually loosen the webbing. For pullers, use a proper no-pull harness and skip the leash ring entirely. Skip this if you live somewhere genuinely cold (–10 °C / 14 °F or below) — the fleece is mid-pile, warm enough for autumn through mild winter but not insulated for sub-zero conditions; pair it with a base layer or look for a quilted parka. Skip this if your dog has a thick double coat already (Husky, Samoyed, Akita) — they overheat under fleece. Care

Brush off fur and debris before washing — fleece pile traps loose hair and clogs the washer filter. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. Avoid the dryer entirely; heat melts the fleece pile flat and stiffens the faux-fur trim. Spot-clean the faux-leather patch with a damp cloth — soaking weakens the adhesive backing.
