Foldable Dog Splash Pad & Sprinkler Pool for Backyard

Most backyard dog pools fail in one of two ways: cheap inflatables pop the first time a dog launches in with full claws, or rigid plastic kiddie pools crack at the seams after a season in the sun. This splash pad sits between both — a 0.45 mm dielectrically welded PVC base with a textured anti-slip floor and a sprinkler ring around the rim. The hose pressure controls spray height: turn it low for a calm fountain, turn it up for arching jets dogs actually chase.

Threads onto any standard US garden hose, sets up in about a minute, and folds book-flat for storage. Used most often on grass or turf in the backyard; also packs into a car trunk for camping, beach trips, or RV travel.

How the sprinkler height adjusts

The sprinkler ring is a single welded channel with small jets spaced around the rim. Spray height is controlled entirely by hose pressure — at low flow the jets bubble a few inches, at full flow they arch over the center and meet in the middle. There is no separate pump, no inflation step, and nothing electric. Just thread on, open the tap, and the pad fills and sprays at the same time.

Sizing - pick by your largest dog

Choose by body length and how many dogs will use the splash pad, not by swimming room. The water depth is shallow, about 5-10 cm.

• Small: 100 cm / 39.4 in diameter; Yorkies, Pomeranians, Pugs.
• Medium: 150 cm / 59 in diameter; Beagles, Bulldogs, Corgis.
• Large: 170 cm / 66.9 in diameter; Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, or multi-dog households.

When this isn't the right pool

Skip this if your dog chews PVC — heavy chewers will puncture the floor within a session, and a hole at the welded ring is hard to patch. For low-spray, no-puncture water enrichment, try the pet water sensory play mat. Skip this if your dog hates water on the face — the sprinkler arch covers the whole pad, there's no dry corner to retreat to. And skip this if you need real swim depth — this is a splash pool with about 5–10 cm of water, not a training pool.

Care and use

Trim your dog's nails before the first session. Place on flat grass or turf, never on gravel or hot pavement. After play, pull the drain plug, let the pad air-dry fully, then fold and store indoors. Don't store wet (PVC mildews). Avoid pool chemicals — plain hose water only.
