2-in-1 Center Console Dog Car Seat & Portable Carrier

Most pet car seats either velcro to the back seat (where small dogs hate being out of sight of their human) or strap to the headrest as a hammock (which doesn't work for dogs under 5 kg who slide around). This sits on the center console between the front seats — strapped to the armrest below — so a small dog or cat rides at shoulder height next to the driver, eyes on the road instead of pacing the back. When you park, unbuckle the console straps and it lifts off as a shoulder carrier.

Used most often for small dogs (Yorkies, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Maltese) and cats up to 6 kg / 13.2 lb who get carsick or anxious in the back seat. The front-row position lets them see the horizon — most dogs that get carsick from rear-seat motion settle within 10 minutes when they can see ahead.

How the 2-in-1 conversion works

In car mode, the two adjustable bottom straps wrap around the center console armrest (works on most sedans, SUVs, and pickups — fits console widths from 12 cm to 25 cm), then snap into the integrated buckles to lock the seat in place. The internal leash tether clips to the dog's harness — never the collar — so even if they panic during a sudden stop, they can't launch out the open mesh top. To convert to a carrier, unstrap the console clips, fold them under, and use the shoulder strap or carry handles.

One size, gray. Internal dimensions fit a curled-up small dog (Yorkie, Maltese, Chihuahua, Mini Dachshund, Toy Poodle) or a cat up to 6 kg / 13.2 lb. For dogs over 6 kg, the headrest position and tether length aren't safe — the dog can lean against the windshield in a hard brake. Larger dogs need a back-seat harness with a seat-belt tether, not a console carrier.

When this isn't the right car seat

Skip this if your pet weighs over 6 kg / 13.2 lb — the center console position only works for small dogs and cats. For mid-to-large dogs, a back-seat hammock with a seat-belt tether is the safer setup. Skip this if you don't have a flat-top center console — vehicles with stick-shift transmissions or short consoles won't have a stable surface to strap onto. Skip this if your pet panics in confined spaces — the mesh canopy zips closed for short trips, but a pet that hates feeling enclosed will fight the carrier mode. Care

Empty fur and crumbs after each trip — small debris settles into the seam where the cushion meets the wall. Spot-clean the exterior with a damp cloth and pet-safe soap; deep cleaning weakens the foam reinforcement. Air-dry only — heat shrinks the strap webbing. Inspect the buckles every few months and replace the unit if a buckle cracks, since a failed buckle in transit is a serious safety risk.
